Sigenergy System & Batteries
In December we installed a 16 Panel installation in central Wokingham with a Sigenergy home energy system made up of a 6kW inverter & 24kWh of batteries. The panels have been installed over 3 roofs, two of the roofs are south facing and the third is south west. This orientation provides a good production of energy through out the day. This system has the batteries & inverter fitted in the garage.
This property consumes over 10,000kWh of electricity per year running entirely on electricity.
Since installing the system in December energy costs have over halved. When the weather is sunny this house runs continuously on stored solar energy making use of the batteries so effectively reducing grid imported energy to zero.
This system has built in intelligence which optimises energy usage when set up & used with smart tariffs ensuring that the batteries don't charge up fully on cheap overnight electricity when it's going to be a sunny day the following day hence maximising savings.
